It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday. Or Not.

Goal we are talking about: #9. Redo my bedroom and B-man's bedroom, and repaint the kitchen.

Listen, no two ways about it, this is going to be a difficult post for some of you. Those of you who have come to know and love my Green Bay Packers-inspired kitchen, particularly. Because, you see, today is the day that we say goodbye. I know, it's hard. I think you should probably try to focus on all the good times you had in this kitchen, instead of thinking of it as goodbye. For instance, the fact that I haven't had curtains up for about 6 months now. And the ones that WERE up? Yeah, I made those out of a tablecloth.
That's a good memory.
Also, the fact that I never seemed to distinguish between the green walls and white ceilings...just kind of let them blend together. I will miss that.
Here's one last look. If you truly loved Green Bay kitchen, please feel free to post some kind words of farewell in the comments section, which I will be happy to pass along.
I know, for instance, that Jen is really going to miss this:
Those are green paint splatters on the ceiling, if you can't tell. The middle of the ceiling. How did they get there? Well, that's kind of like one of those riddles about a dead man in a locked room with a puddle of water on the floor, and you have to figure out how it got there. It's a great conversation piece.
Here's Scott taping the window. Scott is a meticulous painter, it was sort of amazing to watch.
Here's Danny painting the ceiling.
Are you ready for this?
TA-DAAAA! Kitchen 2.0:
I KNOW! It's the most beautiful kitchen you've ever seen, right?

Check out where the ceilings meet the walls- do you see how they don't bleed into one another? It's blowing my mind as well.

THANKS DANNY AND SCOTT, LOVE YOU!!!

  2. LOL. Wait- you're birthday wish is that I come near your house with a seriously destructive machine? May want to rethink that. :)
