It's only fair to tell you that this is the second incarnation of this post. I tried to be sincere in the first one, but after I read it, I wanted to punch myself in the face. Then I sat there for a second and got all introspective, like, But what does it MEAN that I suck at being sincere? Am I like.. soulless? Possibly. Or maybe that niche has been filled by Lifetime, which means that I can go back to my comfort zone, which is sarcasm. I say embrace yourself.
I sort of abandoned my trusty old blog for a reason or two. Maybe I'll go back to it eventually, but for now, this is a special edition blog; an emergency blog for my impending 30th birthday. Who can resist a catchy 30/30 challenge? So here it is- my 30 goals for my 30th year. Feel free to follow me this year, as I make a mess of thirty very easy goals.

26. Buy a grill and grill out

They're not huge, because the goal is to accomplish every last one of them. 30th year starts in (just over) one month!

A few responses: Anything that involves cooking I'm happy to help. For "The Godfather" - do you mean just the first movie, or the trilogy? And whichever you mean, you must watch it (them) with me. I insist. For the cocktail party: You get a Jackie Kennedy (later Jackie O) dress, I'll do my damnedest to find a lava lamp. Words.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me. I do think I will post it but a 30th year 30 item bucket list sounds like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm biased but I'm all for planning your trip to California and I love yoga! Though I'm also very selective about instructors, as is Alex, who is more so because he usually won't go to them with me!
ReplyDeleteI love reading anything you write, Lola...you have a great sense of humor and take on life events! I am excitedly anticipating following your quest on this journey! But only if you bring B-man up to see us (oh and we would love to see you too!) Rick and Laurie (aka The Ts parents)
ReplyDeleteUpdate now. Also, I would like to do numbers 12, 18, and 21 with you. Although, regretfully, we would have separate Christmas accounts. Sorry. I have also just recently really gotten into yoga. Podcast yogamazing. Not weirdy.
ReplyDeleteI can't update yet, because I can't start the goals until my actual birthday. You are doing #12 with me- we are going out for birthday dinner, as previously discussed, next Tuesday. I don't think podcast yoga is going to work, because how will I know I'm doing the moves right?
