It's my birthday! Here's what my day looked like:
Last night, friends came over to celebrate. Jen brought pizza, Rebecca made this awesome cake. It was the most complicated cake humanly imaginable, but I didn't know that when I requested it. We hung out and ate and drank some wine and listened to the kids dumping all of the toys out on the floor in Brady's room. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures. Well, I did- but then it turned out I didn't have a memory card in my camera. Awesome. But there is this picture....
Then, I woke up last night at around 11:30 and went out into the kitchen and grabbed a fork and ate some more cake directly off the serving platter.
Mind your own, it's my birthday.
First thing I did today was buy myself a birthday present. I bet To Kill a Mockingbird is going to be great, but it's going to be 20 times better in this super pretty binding. It's so pretty that I moved TKM up from the March book to the February book. Also, I found this awesome 30 second politics book on clearance. I currently know about 30 seconds worth of information about politics, so I'll be up to a full minute when I'm done with this book.
Then Sar and I went cross country skiing, because I've never been and it's on the 31/31 list, as you know. Honestly, it was really fun. I'm not going to say I was good at it. But I got better. A few more times out? I'll be Olympic-quality.
Here's my thought on skiing, though: what the crap is the point of making the skis so long? If they were about a foot shorter on either side, I wouldn't have fallen at all. Just saying.
Then we went out to Chipotle for lunch. I didn't take any pictures of that. Luckily, we had Mexican for dinner too, with Ryan. Here's a picture of that:
My, you may be thinking to yourself, why does that picture look so familiar? It's because it's the same restaurant we ate at last year on this very day. And I ordered the very same thing.
Also, I'd like to take this birthday opportunity to show you my new living room. It's been in the works for about six months now, and the decals came yesterday and now it's finally done. I should have taken the pictures this afternoon when there was actual light in my house, but I didn't.
Danny- come fix those cords behind my TV, k? Great.
You are so right about the sideways picture. UGGGGHHHH! Love the rug btw. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThose cords look awful. Ugh.
ReplyDelete- Dan
Dan-
ReplyDeleteExactly. Come fix them
P.S. What is with the "ugh"? You're starting to talk like each other. Pretty soon, you'll both resemble your dogs. Stop it.
